AVC-Rwanda Distributes 150 Chickens to Vulnerable Families in Kagano Sector

On May 5th, AVC-Rwanda reached families in Kagano Sector, Nyamasheke District, with a donation of 150 chickens to households identified as part of the most vulnerable in the community. The distribution was carried out in partnership with local leaders, who helped identify families that would benefit most from the initiative. Each household received chickens to raise at home, marking another step in AVC-Rwanda's ongoing commitment to walking alongside communities that need support the most.

10 Young Girls Receive Sewing Machines After Completing Tailoring Training

The same week, AVC-Rwanda celebrated another milestone with 10 young girls who recently completed a tailoring training program organized through our skills-development initiative. After months of dedication, learning the fundamentals of sewing, garment-making, and small-business basics, each of the 10 graduates received her own sewing machine to take home. The handover was a joyful moment, marking the transition from learning to earning for these young women.
